My favorite piece of clothing is my laboratory coat. This is my favorite because it protects me from bad chemicals or bacteria that I touch in the lab. It’s simple yet stylish also. It’s white and long so that it covers my entire body. It has also has many pockets where I can put my writing utensils, goggles, or many other things. I got my coat from the UCLA Chemistry and Biochemistry Department while I was doing research here the past summer. If you also want to buy a lab coat, simply go to Young Hall 1275. I use my coat for all of the lab courses that I take and while I do research. It’s bad to judge people merely on what they wear, but I believe that clothes can say a lot about a person. For example, my favorite piece of clothing is my lab coat because I like doing work in the lab and I also like science. I’m certain that my thoughts about clothing will change in the future because styles are always changing. However, I know that I will always need my coat in my future career. Hopefully, adjacent to the pocket of my next lab coat there will be an embroidery with my name and the letters D.D.S. or perhaps Ph.D at the end.
